Welcome aboard party people! What a fun filled day of cruising the seas. Our cruise theme was Disney inspired. We started off this morning with some treats, music and crafts, followed up by lunch. We played tons of games today, of course the fan favorite was bingo. We had a huge crowd turn out for the day which made my heart so happy! The residents got goody bags and little prizes. It was nice to see the sun come out as well so enjoyed some nice outside time. We wrapped up the day with some more treats and ocean inspired movies :)

Rain or shine we’re having activities here at Bickford of Ames. Didn’t get too many pictures today of everything but, we started off the morning with manicures and then lead into some polka music and dancing with Dale and his lovely partner. We had pearl vision visit with us today to do glasses care for the residents and then we set up for tomorrows big theme day of cruise the seas! Enjoy some sneak peaks of our decorating, and come on down and join us for a cruise tomorrow! Dress code is Disney or Hawaiian outfits :)

This beautiful Monday was fantastic, all of us here at Bickford are loving this weather we’re having lately! I got the joy of accompanying a resident of ours to a pedicure appointment and we got some ice cream afterwards and drove around Ames. Once we got back we had a huge turn out for Bingo today! Miss Elaine was helping me call numbers and making sure I kept the cards upright. I Loved seeing all those happy faces today :)

It’s almost the weekend!!! Does anybody have any fun weekend plans? I know us here at Bickford do! We started our Thursday off right with a lovely bible study session. Followed by a delicious lunch and some even more lovely music by Paul Davis. We always appreciate and enjoy when Paul comes to play for Bickford. I added a little video snippet so everyone could see just how wonderful of a musician/singer he is! :) We also checked on our plants we potted awhile back and were happy and eager to say they’re still sprouting away! Some of the late bloomers are finally starting to poke through and sprout as well. We’re going to wrap up our evening with a nice dinner and a good card game! I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Bartender I really did it this time… Happy happy fri-YAY everyone!! Let’s just say we’ve had a ball today from conversations, to happy hour, some darts, and singing some old country tunes! This beautiful weather can keep on coming! It’s bringing lots of smiles and happiness for those of us here at Bickford. Have a great weekend everyone :)

What a beautiful day to sit outside and relax! I hope everyone got outside and enjoyed some sunshine. We are wrapping up our evening with some bingo and a delicious dinner! Dick was our huge winner at bingo today, what an absolute blast!

We are fluttering into spring quite nicely over here at Bickford. We took on a new wall project to display our names on butterflies and flowers to show our spring spirit. This morning we did lots of manicures around the building and had a nice day of chit chatting and sharing some memories as well. I’m not sure how but, sauerkraut was a topic of conversation today and did you know that it’s very healthy for you? It supports the immune system providing essential probiotics and nutrients. Some of us here didn’t know that, so I will leave you with that fact today. Besides that all of us here at Bickford hope you had a pleasant day!

One solar eclipse and some bingo definitely makes this Monday one to remember. What an amazing thing to witness and share with those you love. I think the eclipse had a good effect on bingo today because we had some major winners!
